Therapy to feel more at home in yourself,

your relationships, and your life.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

I’ll be good company while you do.

Kat Willis, therapist and founder of Good Company Therapy and Wellness in Kansas City

I know what it’s like to feel that everything is too much, that the world needs to pause for a second so you can catch up, or that life feels so heavy that it’s impossible to take one more step.

I’ve been there. And there is another way.

I help people feel better.

Therapy with me is a place to slowly begin to peer into the parts of you that are hurting. The parts of you that are screaming for help, but you just don’t know how to ask for it or it has never felt safe to. The parts of you that deserve so much tenderness and grace, but you are not sure where to even start.

We will figure it out, together.

Therapy in Kansas City

Kat Willis, M.S., T-LMFT

My approach is grounded in warmth and connection. I am a relational therapist, so I believe that healing begins within the safety of the relationship that we build together. I utilize elements of mindfulness, with an emphasis on strengthening self-esteem and building self-worth. My therapeutic training is systemic in nature, so I tend to seek out beliefs, patterns, and connections that shape how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

I came to this work after over 20 years in the restaurant (and restaurant adjacent) industry. I have an innate love of hospitality which extends into the way my office space is curated and the way I practice therapy. Therapy with me is an experience of being held, being heard, learning and unlearning, and uncovering the very truth and light of who you are.

A cozy living room with a light blue armchair, a wooden bookshelf filled with books, a lamp on a side table, a large abstract painting on the wall, a potted plant, a digital clock showing 2:39, and a tissue box on the floor. There are various small decorative items and toys on a white table in the foreground.
